A new leak suggests that Vivo may soon enter the compact creator camera segment with a device reportedly called the “Vivo Pocket.” According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the upcoming product is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The leak claims that Vivo Pocket will be a handheld gimbal camera aimed at content creators and mobile videographers. The device is also tipped to feature a Sony LYT-901 200-megapixel sensor paired with a large 1/1.1-inch sensor size, which could place it among the more capable compact cameras in its category.

Based on the information shared by the tipster, Vivo is reportedly approaching the product with the same imaging philosophy used in flagship smartphones. That could mean advanced image processing, stabilization features, and computational photography tools packed into a compact form factor.
If the report turns out to be accurate, Vivo Pocket may directly compete with products from DJI and Insta360, both of which currently dominate the portable creator camera market.
The leak also mentions that other major smartphone brands are preparing similar devices. Oppo is reportedly developing a project under the codename “Fuyao,” while Huawei and Honor are also said to be working on creator-focused camera products.
The growing interest from smartphone manufacturers suggests that the creator camera market could become increasingly competitive over the next few years, especially as demand for portable, high-quality video equipment continues to rise.
