Xiaomi will launch its new flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 17 Max, in China on May 21, 2026, at 7:00 PM local time. Ahead of the official launch event, the company has been sharing key details about the device through its official channels, and recently released a battery endurance test comparing it to Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max.
In the test, both phones were put through typical heavy daily use. The iPhone 17 Pro Max ran for around 16 hours before its battery was fully drained. At that same point in the test, the Xiaomi 17 Max still had more than 50% battery left.
Xiaomi also ran a longer comparison: it used two fully charged iPhone 17 Pro Max devices one after the other. Combined, the two iPhones lasted 32 hours. The Xiaomi 17 Max, on a single full charge, managed 33.3 hours of use.

- Two iPhone 17 Pro Max: 32 hours (runs consecutively)

The comparison video was uploaded to its official Weibo page, where anyone can watch the full comparison and see how each phone performed in real time.
