Nintendo has announced the 53rd MAXIMUS CUP for Tetris 99, offering players an exclusive in-game theme inspired by Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.
The limited-time event will take place from May 1 at 12:00 a.m. PT through May 4 at 11:59 p.m. PT. During the event, players can compete in Tetris 99 mode to earn event points based on their match performance.
Players who collect 100 event points during the competition will unlock the Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream theme. The reward includes custom background art, themed music, and unique Tetrimino designs based on the upcoming life simulation game.
MAXIMUS CUP events are a regular feature in Tetris 99, often introducing special themes tied to Nintendo’s latest releases. This latest event serves as a promotional collaboration ahead of the launch of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.
Tetris 99 is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch for active Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Once unlocked, the Tomodachi Life-themed customization will remain permanently available in the player’s collection.
