Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed new pricing for its PlayStation hardware lineup across Southeast Asia, with adjustments set to take effect on May 1, 2026. The announcement was published through the official PlayStation Asia blog, citing ongoing global economic pressures as the reason behind the changes.

The updated recommended retail prices cover the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, and the newer PlayStation 5 Pro in several markets. In Singapore, the standard PS5 will now retail for SGD 849, while the Digital Edition is priced at SGD 764. The PS5 Pro sees a higher price point at SGD 1,167.
Malaysia will see the PS5 priced at MYR 2,799, with the Digital Edition at MYR 2,499 and the PS5 Pro reaching MYR 3,999. In Thailand, the standard PS5 is set at THB 20,990, while the Digital Edition will cost THB 18,790. The PS5 Pro in the country is priced at THB 30,990.
Indonesia’s updated pricing includes IDR 11,399,000 for the standard PS5 and IDR 9,999,000 for the Digital Edition. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, the PS5 will be available at PHP 40,032, while Vietnam’s pricing sets the console at VND 16,900,000.
In addition to console price changes, Sony also announced adjustments for the PlayStation Portal. The handheld remote player will retail for SGD 347 in Singapore, MYR 1,099 in Malaysia, THB 8,380 in Thailand, and IDR 5,199,000 in Indonesia.
According to Sony, the price increase reflects “continued pressures in the global economic landscape,” including factors that affect production and distribution costs. The company acknowledged that such changes may impact players but emphasized that the decision was made after careful evaluation.
Despite the higher prices, Sony reiterated its commitment to delivering high-quality gaming experiences and maintaining innovation across its PlayStation ecosystem.
